Monchi called "the Messi of recruitment" by English media

Monchi always receives plenty of praise, appreciation from Sevilla fans and praise on his work. But he does not often receive praise from people outside from Spain. 

This time, Sevilla's sporting director received praise from 'The Times', a prestigious English paper, which compared him with Messi. 

In an extensive report on Monchi's way of going about business, they called him "the Messi of recruitment" on analysing his work in "a highly regarded and financially astute scouting programme."

Jose Castro, the Sevilla president, talks in the article to also praise Monchi who, despite everything, calls himself a bad negotiator: "He's our Messi, there's a Messi on the pitch and we have another to take the players onto the pitch."
