The Croatian played for Tottenham for four seasons having signed from Dinamo Zagreb and was named player of the year after leading them to the Champions League quarter finals in the season before he left.
Speaking to 'FourFourTwo', he said: "'My one regret is that I didn't win a trophy with Tottenham, despite us being a strong team who played good, attractive football."
He left after disappearing from the team's pre-season tour in the USA, with his sights firmly set on the Spanish capital.
"I had a fantastic relationship with the people at the club, and also the fans. The whole atmosphere in and around the club at that time was brilliant, and our results were mostly very good," Modric continued. He admitted he still looks out for the North London club as well.
"Do I still follow their results? Yes, when I have time," he claimed. "I always enjoy watching Tottenham's games and I really like what the club has become over the last few seasons."
Despite being dubbed the worst transfer of the year by 'Marca' on his arrival, Modric has gone on to be a star performer at Real Madrid, helping the team to three Champions League wins and a La Liga title.
