Social media is going viral in England after what is being called the miss of the season occurred in League 2. An incomprehensible error which the Crewe player will remember for a long time.
Chris Porter, a striker for Crewe Alexandra in League Two was the guilty man. In the match against Plymouth Argyle, the Englishman missed an open goal when it seemed easier to score than miss.
It all began after a bad pass from the Plymouth man which a Crewe player intercepted. He went around the goalie, dribbled and laid it on a plate for his teammate, who had asked for it, to tap in.
However, full of confidence, Porter finished poorly from near the penalty spot and the ball ended up going wide. The striker could not believe it.
And that was not the worst: had he scored, Crewe would have gone 1-2 up and they ended up losing 2-1. The match could have ended very differently. It was one of the misses of the season.
