Zidane wants Pogba to hand in a transfer request, according to the 'Mirror', who have suggested that the Madrid boss has already made contact with his compatriot.
The French manager has reportedly advised Pogba that he must be the one to set the wheels in motion for a move to the Bernabéu by formally submitting his desire to leave to United.
The English press have also stated that Zidane is believed to have spoken to Pogba personally to convince him that his future lies in the Spanish capital, requesting that he lets his current employers know of his intentions.
Furthermore, the ex-Real player has supposedly told Manchester United's World Cup winning midfielder that a move to Madrid is a "now or never" deal, as he wouldn't come back in for him the following season.
Even so, 'The Independent' have reported that United are unwilling to allow their star centre-mid to leave for less than 170 million euros, which when added to Pogba's hefty 27 million euro yearly salary demands could prove to be an obstacle to any potential signing.
