According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Real Betis have interfered in Costa's reported move to AC Milan, as the Spanish side intend to carry out the same operation Las Palmas did with Vitolo.
The mentioned source has assured the Andalusian side have offered to take Diego Costa until July 1, if Atletico finally sign the centre-forward and loan him out until their transfer ban is lifted.
The main issue for the side managed by Simeone is that Costa does not want to be sidelined half a season and much less so with the World Cup in Russia taking place next summer. They could, however, loan him to another team until January.
Reports in Spain claim Betis have contacted Atletico Madrid, informing their willingness to 'bridge' Costa's move from Stamford Bridge to the Madrid side.
AC Milan have revealed their interest in the Spain international and the Blues want £50 million for him.
