The signing of PSG's Belgian RB Thomas Meunier to Borussia Dortmund is practically a done deal. The 28-year-old, whose contract ends in June, will be a weighty addition for a team that is very young and needs to add some experience.
The deal was confirmed by ex-PSG and Monaco player and now sports commentator Jerome Rothen.
"Borussia Dortmund have closed the signing of Thomas Meunier. I can assure you 100%", Rothen commented in 'RMC Sport', who hinted that the talks accelerated in the Champions League match between the Germans and PSG.
During the season, Meunier had lost his undisputed position at RB and Colin Dagba had gradually gained the confidence of Thomas Tuchel.
Despite the Belgian wanting to renew, 'AS' note that Leonardo didn't make him any offer and that's why he opted for the option of Borussia Dortmund with the goal of playing at a top European team.
Taking into account the 27 matches played this season, Meunier has played 128 official matches with PSG, scoring 13 goals and getting 19 assists. He signed from Brugge in 2016.
