Kiev, which is the location of tonight's Champions League final, was sent into panic over a suspected bomb threat.
The city's Metro Facebook page posted an announcement informing the public that the Dnipro, Hydropark, Livoberezhna, Arsenalna and Heroiv Dnipra stations had all been evacuated after the authorities were made aware of a possible terrorist threat.
It is reported that someone phoned the authorities at 13:20 (local time), to warn them that 5 stations would be destroyed by explosions.
The outlet reports that security forces searched the stations for threats, in order to assure the safety of passengers and fans. A complete security complement arrived at the five stations under threat, including bomb experts and doctors.
Later reports inform that nothing was found, and the stations were reopened for normal service.
“The stations are checked and open for passengers. Explosive items were not found,” the subway operator said on Facebook.
