Messi will become the current player with the most number of leagues in Spain

There are those who say that the La Liga title Barcelona are about to win is Messi's league. To a certain extent, it is. At least looking at his honours. Because he is about to get a double record and it has to do with the tie which he will break with Andres Iniesta.
Because both are level on nine titles since the trophy they lifted last year. Iniesta has left, but not retired. That combined with the league which Messi will conquer (few think that Barca will collapse massively) means the Argentine will automatically be converted in the current footballer with most trophies to his name.
In fact, only some of his friends are close to his numbers. Xavi Hernandez has eight, a figure which Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets will go level with. After them, of those which still play, there is Dani Alves and Sergi Roberto, both with six.
For Barcelona, Leo Messi will get another achievement: be the Barca player which has won the most leagues. Of those which no longer play, Zubizarreta, Bakero and Julio Salinas ended on six, a figure later equalled by Guardiola, Victor Valdes and Carles Puyol.
In addition, he will go on the podium of honour of the historic players which were champions the most. Now Gento, with his dozen leagues, is the closest. He will go level with Pirri, another Madrid legend, with the 10th.
With two more trophies, something which is not particularly easy, the man from Rosario will be top of a table which few will even be able to draw level with.
Leo Messi will continue increasing his fantastic list of honours, since it will be his 33rd trophy. Up to now, of course since he could add his fifth Champions League and seventh Copa del Rey to his CV. Three Club World Cups, seven Spanish Super Cups and the three UEFA Super Cups complete the list.
The Barcelona star could put the icing on the cake by conquering the 'Pichichi', a table in which he has a solid advantage with respect to Benzema and Luis Suarez, who share second, but they are twelve goals off the Argentine.
In other words, he would go level with the legendary Telmo Zarra in first positions thanks to his six Pichichis.
