Argentina's manager, Lionel Scaloni, said this Friday that Lionel Messi "was born to play football" and "to win" and he revealed that he was "heart broken" for Esteben Andrada who was ruled out of the Copa America due to the injury he suffered on Thursday.

"I salvage Messi's desire to play football. He was born to play football, he was born to win. For us, it's an enormous joy that he's willing to do that. We only have positive words for him and his teammates". Said Scaloni in the press conference alongside Nicolás Tagliafico.

The trainer also said that he was heart broken to hear about the injury of Andrada on Friday morning. "I'm very sad about the injury. In addition to being a great kid, we had high hopes for him. Unfortunately we made this decision because there was no guarantee of what could happen later." He explained.

The selector said about Colombia, Argentina's opponents opponents for Saturday, "they have a good team", "We'll take care of ourselves, but we have to think more of ourselves than of our opponent." He continued.

"If everyone does what they do in their club and puts it at the disposal of the national team we will surely be talking about a great team", although he went on to suggest that team unity was the most important thing.

"That's the most important thing, that people feel identified with this team, that they like the team, that they like the idea."
