It has been said that he is heir to Xavi at Barcleona, while others have compared him to Andres Iniesta. Regardless of the comparisons, the midfielder has had to step up his game since joining the Catalan giants, and Lionel Messi has been coaching him through just that.
"The advice he gives me is mainly tactical, because Barcelona's style is so unque you have to know where exactly to be on the pitch in relation to your team-mates." the midfielder told 'BarcaTV'
Messi has not just taken him under his wing on the pitch, but off it as well. The Argentine superstar has helped the former Gremio man to settle in to the club as quickly as possible: "I've admired him on the TV for so many years, but away from the pitch, as a man, he's even better"
With some doubting if Messi was still the dazzling player he has been for over a decade, the performance in the Champions League against Tottenham put many of those doubts to rest. "He's a genius, the best to ever play the game. I can only be grateful for playing with him" Arthur added.
"It's difficult to come to a place where you don't know anyone, but everyone has welcomed me. With there being Brazilian players it has made it a bit easier" the creative player went on to admit.
