The European Super League bubble has burst after just 72 hours. There was so much uproar that even things like Leo Messi's future were forgotten about. But this Wednesday, there were more developments about it.
Jorge Messi, Lionel Messi's father, arrived in Barcelona last weekend. He was stopped about the Johan Cruyff stadium during Barca B's game with Villarreal B, but it did not seem to indicate that anything would happen immediately.
In fact, the Barca star seems to be fully focussed on the fight for La Liga at the back end of the season. According to 'COPE' journalist Helena Condis, the Argentinian has asked his father not to sit down with Barcelona while there is still a title race going on.
Koeman's men, prior to matchday 31, are two points behind Real Madrid and five behind Atletico, but they have a game in hand. That is against Granada which was postponed due to the Copa del Rey final.
There is also a huge game on 8th May at the Camp Nou as Barca face Atletico Madrid in a game which looks it could be pivotal. Therefore, Messi seems to want to focus just on things on the pitch before talking about whether he stays or goes.
With the Copa del Rey in the bag, it could be that winning the double could help Messi to decide to stay. Whether winning the league affects Messi's decision or not, he wants to focus on that first.
