Merih Demiral swaps Atalanta for Al Ahli

More players continue to join the Saudi Pro League. On this occasion, the latest to do so is Merih Demiral. The Turkish defender has left Atalanta and joined the ambitious Al Ahli project.

The Saudi side announced on Saturday the signing of the defender, for whom they have paid 20 million euros to Bergamo. The player signs until 2026 and will try to earn a place in Matthias Jaissle's team.

At the age of 25, Demiral leaves behind a two-season spell at Atalanta, where he made 70 appearances, 50 of them as a starter, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.

Al Ahli now have another player from European football alongside Edouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino, Kessie, Allan Saint-Maximin, Riyad Mahrez and Roger Ibanez.
