Benjamin Mendy will be in jail until at least 22nd December. That will be the date he appears in front of Chester Crown Court.
'L'Equipe' explained that Mendy, who is accused of up to six cases of rape and a case of sexual assault, will go to the Crown Court on 22nd December and there he will say whether he believes he is innocent or guilty.
Until that same day, the former Man City player will remain in Altocourse prison, to the north of Liverpool, where he has been since the end of August.
On 22nd December, Benjamin Mendy's defence will ask them to release the charges. The trial will begin on 24th January in Chester and coud last two weeks.
Man City, at the moment, have not commented on this. It seems they will await the result of the trial before making comment.
