Miller is fully expecting Scotland to win at Hampden Park on Tuesday, thus securing a coveted play off spot for EURO 2020 in the process.
Last time out, Scotland recorded an impressive 4-0 victory away to Albania, in order to set up this winner takes all Nations League clash with Israel.
McLeish's side have enjoyed a mini-revival of sorts, which has seen them just one win away from the EURO 2020 playoffs, in spite of a difficult start to the competition.
Former Scotland striker Kenny Miller has thrown his weight behind the manager ahead of the match, insisting that Alex McLeish has more to give, because he is a 'winner and a fighter'.
Having made 69 appearances for Scotland, Miller is keenly aware of what it takes to represent the national side, and the level of scrutiny that comes with the role.
On the current situation for McLiesh as Scotland boss, Miller told 'Sky Sports News' : "Alex is a fighter, he's a winner, that's something he's always been. I've known him for a long, long time. He'll be working tirelessly with his staff and his players to make sure we give ourselves the best possible opportunity to make the Euros."
Miller then turned his attention to the Israel clash itself, stating that he believes that the side has enough quality to win the crucial home fixture.
"Getting the result will give us the first opportunity to reach the Euros, we're three games away, this is the most important game as it is the next game. We're within touching distance. We've got a home game against Israel to get ourselves to the next stage."
Miller continued: "If they perform the way they did on Saturday, with the same energy, then I fully expect them to win the game and maybe win comfortably tonight. I really like the personnel that are playing. Whether it be a three or a four at the back I really like the players that we've got, particularly in the middle and front areas."
The former Rangers player also added: "A problem position for us has always been the centre-backs but we seem to have a good young crop of them coming through as well. They're only going to get better with experience so I'm really hoping the team can perform tonight and get the result."
