In a statement to 'L'Équipe', the Paris Saint-Germain player Kylian Mbappé wanted to talk about the departures of Lassana Diarra and Gianluigi Buffon from the club.
The young French striker admitted that it was the departures from the Parc des Princes that hurt him the most, even though he only coincided with them for four months, enough time to forge a great friendship.
"He was like an uncle to me, an older brother you could count on. He often told me about his career, his clubs. The mistakes he made and gave me advice. He helped me through some tough times. He was at the highest level, he knows what he's talking about. He emigrated very early and alone," Mbappé said of Diarra.
He also had words for the veteran goalkeeper: "I always liked to listen to the older players. Buffon was also very important. It affected me to see them go. I still have contact with both of them.
