Teammate Juan Mata revealed how the Swede left the kit men "shaking" as he introduced himself, tongue in cheek, as "God".
The towering striker joined the Red Devils on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2016 and Mata told 'FourFourTwo' how his first day at Carrington unfolded.
"The day he arrived, we were away on pre-season," said the Spaniard. "So he was on his own with the kit men at the training ground."
"They had never met him before and he's the sort of guy that garners instant respect because of the way he carries himself," Mata added. "Zlatan apparently looked the kit men up and down and said: 'I hope you know God has arrived'."
"The kit men were shaking and didn't know what to think, then he fell about laughing with them," Ibrahimovic's confidence is a huge factor in his style of play which saw him become a key figure at Old Trafford in his first season. "He always does that," Mata concluded.
