Juan Mata's future is an absolute mystery. His United contract expires in 2021 and Solskjaer had initially refused to let him leave this summer. He has a place for the Spaniard in his squad.
But a Saudi Arabian side are promising to do everything possible to get Juan Mata off the Red Devils. At least that is what transfer expert Ian McGarry says.
"Mata has received a very lucrative offer. He has been offered to leave Manchester and go to Saudi Arabia. He'd earn around 15 million pounds a year if he accepts it," he told 'Express Sport'.
At the moment, that said, it's just a proposal. United and the other club have yet to begin talks.
"Negotiations have not begun yet. We can't reveal the name of the club which have made Mata this offer for now," Ian McGarry continued.
McGarry believes that Mata is seriously considering leaving the Premier League. "The offer is there. His father, who is also his agent, is convinced that United will let Mata leave. The player has still not committed to it, but with this amount of money, it's tempting."
