Marcos Llorente spoke to 'El Larguero' on Spanish radio station 'Cadena SER' and one of the topics mentioned was France's winning goal.
Mbappe's decisive goal keeps on being talked about. The PSG striker was offside, but the goal was given as the officials deemed that Eric Garcia deliberately tried to play the ball as he tried to cut out the pass for Mbappe.
With the lawbook in hand, the decision is correct because Eric Garcia's attempted clearance is too far away from goal to be considered a "save".
Many people thought it was offside and Marcos Llorente, who did not feature in the squad, also thought it was illegal. "I honestly thought it was going to be disallowed. Then I don't know what they're saying about Eric touching it and playing Mbappe onside. In the end, you have to take it on the chin," he explained.
"Moves happen so quickly that you cannot just stand there and not touch it as the striker is offside. There the defender is left for dead," Marcos Llorente. The controversial goal is still spoken about four days on.
