According to 'Lance' Marcelo could go back to his homeland Brazil, once his Real Madrid contract is over. His current contract expires in June 2022.
Marcelo could still sign a contract extension with 'Los Blancos', the club where he has played since 2006. However, many rumors suggest that the time of the 33-year-old left-back at the Bernabeu is over.
His best option could be to go back to his homeland Brazil, to play for the last couple of years o his career. According to 'Lance', a good friend of Marcelo revealed that Marcelo wants to be back in Brazil whenever he leaves Madrid.
The Brazilian defender has been at Madrid for 16 seasons, during this period of time he has played 529 official games, scoring 38 goals and giving 91 assists.
Loyal to his teams, Marcelo has only played for Real Madrid and Fluminense, where he played 32 professional games, as well as, of course, the Brazilian national team.
