Van de Beek will be Real Madrid's first signing for the 2019-20 season. At least that is what head of the Dutch newspaper 'De Telegraaf', Valentijn Driessen, assures.
The deal between Ajax and Real Madrid is done. According to 'Marca', Los Blancos will play 55 million euros for the player. The move would be made official at the start of June.
Moreover, according to the aforementioned source, the deal between Real Madrid and Ajax has been done since last year. Only a change of course at Real Madrid would change the deal.
"Donny van de Beek won't go to the winter market, but after this season he will go to Real Madrid. His transfer is already done. Manchester United don't have any chance of signing him", Driessen assured.
And the player himself left the door open to a possible departure, although not in January. "I said it before and I'll say it again: I will stay at Ajax this season. We will see if this summer I leave the team or stay one more season", he explained to the 'Daily Mail'.
Now, with 6 months ahead, Real Madrid must decide if they want to execute the option to sign Donny van de Beek or gamble on the midfielders they already have, with Fran Valverde as the key man of the present and future.
