'Marca': Isco's decision surprised Real Madrid
Last Friday the news broke that Isco has decided to pack his bags and leave Real Madrid. 'Marca' and 'AS' reported on his future.
The request to move has shocked and surprised the Real Madrid board but they do understand the Spaniard's decision.
They had offered Isco the chance to leave in the summer but he turned those chances down to stay and fight for his place in Zidane's squad.
However, 'Marca' say that Real Madrid won't wait for Isco to change his mind and will try to offload him in January if they can find a suitable club for both the player and Real.
What is clear is that Madrid won't just let him go for any price. The clubs will need to pay between 60 or 70 million euros, and that could be hard for someone to justify during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Manchester City, Juventus, Arsenal, Everton, and both Milan clubs are the main sides in the running.
Zidane was questioned on the topic before the game against Villarreal and had his say:
"I don't have anything to say on this topic. I won't comment on what happens internally. Isco is a Real Madrid player and he will stay here. He is with us and there is nothing more to say", he said.
