Kostas Manolas was the first Napoli player to get injured since training resumed. He pulled a muscle and he had to pull out. His club did not mention how long he would be out for, but 'Corriere dello Sport' reports that the Greek central defender will sit out six weeks.
He is undoubtedly a big loss for the Neapolitan side ahead of Serie A's return. If it begins in the second week of June, as media reports suggest, he would not be back in time for it.
However, bearing in mind the fact that players have already not trained for two months, he may not play again this season in Italy. If he does return, it would be for the last few games.
The Greek would have to focus on being fit for the Champions League which will resume in August. His team needs him for the return of the last 16 tie with Barca after a 1-1 draw at home in the first game.
