Oriel Romeu who shared a dressing room with Sadio Mane in the 2015-16 season at Southampton, has analysed the Senegalese's prospects and the options he has ahead of a potential move to the Bernabeu.
"What makes him stand out, above all, is his speed. He is an electric player. He has a great physical condition and exceptional skills", said the Spaniard.
"He has grown a lot at Liverpool. This season he is displaying his goalscoring capabilities. I believe he has acquired calmness and composure ahead of games, whether that be to score or to assist. This is key", he added.
Romeu showered the Senegalese player with praise and wished him well ahead of a possible move to Madrid: "Yes, he is ready. Madrid look a bit weak in attack and he is the type of player who will do a lot of damage if given the space. He could help them get back to their winning ways.
"He can give them options in attack, but he is not but he is not a Cristiano Ronaldo type finisher", he concluded.
