Bastian Schweinsteiger is still at Mancherster United but as he hasn't made a single appearance, he is likely to leave this winter or during the next summer.
He has been already linked with a move to the United States but the Brazilian club Santos are already interested in him. Santos were the club where the Brazilian legend Pele spent the major part of his career. They want to relive their popularity by signing a big star.
"It would bring us a lot of more attention in the world. My idea that I tried to bring to the board is that Santos once again had a player with a world profile and that we look for names in European clubs," Dorival Junior told 'UOL Esporte'.
He added: "Schweinsteiger is within this profile. A player with Schweinsteiger's history, he's not happy in Manchester, and if suddenly a club in Brazil is interested in an athlete of this profile we could move in the market".
