Manchester City v Lyon - Preview and possible lineups

TEAM NEWS
Manchester City: Manager Pep Guardiola will have to watch on from the stands due to a suspension incured in last season's quarter-final against Liverpool. Assistant coach Mikel Arteta will take to the dugout in place of the Catalan. In terms of injuries, the 'Citizens' are likely to be without both Sergio Aguero and Benjamin Mendy, though the duo will face late fitness tests. As with Pep Guardiola's record with making changes, it would appear no player's place in the starting lineup is safe and rotation could play a part on Wednesday - Oleksandr Zinchenko could make his first appearance of the season.
Lyon: The French outfit, and boss Bruno Génésio, will be able to call upon new signing Moussa Dembele who played 90 minutes at the weekend against Caen, while Jason Denayer could be in line to start against his old side. Former Manchester United duo Memphis Depay and Rafael Da Silva are likely to play some part in the fixture.
Mikel Arteta: "That’s the aim [winning the Champions League]. We have a young squad, they have gained experience and we feel better prepared than previous two years. Tomorrow it starts a new competition. First of all, I am privileged to be here and I am very fulfilled. But if you ask me one day will I be a head coach, the answer is probably yes. But we have fantastic momentum and there is lots of room for this club to grow. Up to now, the preparation has been normal, the same process we normally do. Tomorrow, we cannot have any communication (with Pep). I will be on the touchline and I will try to make the right decisions."
Memphis Depay: "It's very special for me to return to Manchester. I am very happy. It was a good experience for me. I now hope to come back and try to perform well tomorrow. This experience made me much stronger mentally and it allows me to flourish today in Lyon. It will be a complicated match against Manchester City who have a lot of quality. We gave everything at the end of last season to be in the Champions League. Last season is over. We will have to play very well to qualify. I am having a lot of fun in Lyon and I am focused on our next milestones. It will be a great match tomorrow night."
