Manchester City announce the signing of Leila Ouahabi

Manchester City Fem have announced through their official channels the signing of Leila Ouahabi, who just a week ago ended her 13-year spell at Barcelona. 

As can be read on the English club's official website, the 29-year-old Catalan full-back has signed a contract for the next two seasons. 

Leila will officially join City on 1st July, after her current contract with Barça Fem expires on 30th June. The Spanish international, who won the Champions League as a Barça player, as well as three La Liga titles and five Copa de la Reina titles, is one of the best full-backs in the world.

After signing her new contract, Leila made some comments in which she said she was "very happy" with this new stage: "I am very happy. I was looking forward to this moment and I am very happy now that it has arrived. Manchester City has always been a team that has attracted my attention. I really like their style of play".

"This is going to be a completely different experience for me and I'm looking forward to it. I also want to keep winning trophies. I like to win and be competitive, and I'm coming here to win trophies for City," said Leila, who will be joined on English soil by Vicky Losada, her former Barça team-mate.
