City hold out for the win after an impressive second half turnaround.

Yellow card for Fernando

The City midfielder goes into the book for a pull on Bellerin.

Yellow card for Gabriel

The Brazilian defender goes into the book for bringing down David Silva.

Arsenal don't look like equalising

Arsenal are struggling to get back into this game. Three minutes remain for Arsene Wenger's men.

Yellow card for Eneny

The Egyptian goes into the book for a challenge on Fernando.

Final change for City

De Bruyne leaves the field and is replaced by Iheanacho.

Yellow card for De Bruyne

The Belgian goes in late on Gabriel and receives a yellow card.

Arsenal make a final change

Oxlade-Chamberlain appears to have picked up an injury and is replaced by Elneny.

De Bruyne should make it 3-1

Navas almost has an immediate impact as his cross finds De Bruyne, but he hits the post and it goes behind from three yards.

City make their second change

Scorer of City's first goal, Sane, leaves the field and is replaced by Navas.

Arsenal make a second change

It's an attacking one as Groud comes on for Coquelin.

Sterling puts City ahead

It's a great turnaround from City and they have Sterling to thank for a great goal. The England international cuts in from the right and hits a left-footed shot in at the near post, wrong-footing Petr Cech.

GOAL: Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal (Sterling 72 mins)

Arsenal make a change

Iwobi leaves the field and is replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Sane almost gets his second

De Bruyne plays a pinpoint pass for the winger who goes through on goal, but Petr Cech is out off his line quickly and parries his effort behind for a corner which Arsenal defend.

City pile on the pressure

Unlike the first half, Arsenal are struggling to get out of their own half. After a disappointing first 45 minutes, City have improved considerably.

Yellow card for Toure

The City midfielder goes into the book for dissent towards the assistant referee.

Sane equalises with dubious goal

David Silva plays an exquisite ball over the top for Sane, but the German appears to be offside. The flag stayed down and Sane finished past Cech.

GOAL: Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal (Sane, 47 mins)

Second half underway

City kick off and the second half is underway.

City make a half-time change

Zabaleta makes way and Sagna comes on in his place

HALF-TIME: Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal deservedly lead at the break as City once again fail to take advantage of the greater possession. Something's lacking for Guardiola's men.

Toure heads at Cech

The City midfielder gets on the end of a corner, but aims his header straight at Petr Cech.

Gabriel cuts out a dangerous attack

Sane runs down the right and puts a dangerous ball into the box but it's turned behind by Gabriel.

Arsenal pushing for a second

Arsenal continue to threaten, breaking from the back as City waste possession. A dangerous attack ends in Bellerin blazing a volley over the bar.

Yellow card for Silva

The City midfielder goes into the book for bringing down Francis Coquelin who was looking to start a counter attack.

Xhaka heads wide

Monreal crosses for the Swiss midfielder, who heads wide at the near post. Decent chance for Arsenal who are looking the better side despite having less of the ball.

Walcott volleys over

The ball sits up for the Arsenal man in the area, but he blazes his volley into orbit.

City try to attack, Arsenal look dangerous on the break

Man City are seeing a lot more of the ball and appear on the front foot. However, Arsenal look extremely dangerous on the counter-attack and with City's leaky defence, the Gunners will fancy their chances to score again.

Toure heads wide

City have another chance as the ivory Coast international meets a free-kick from Kevin de Bruyne, but heads wide.

Sterling misses a golden opportunity to equalise

A cross comes in from the left which is met by the City winger. Unmarked at the back post, he heads wide when he should score.

Walcott gives Arsenal an early lead

Turning defence into attack, Bellerin passes to Sanchez who threads a great ball through to Walcott. The Arsenal winger slots past Bravo pile pressure on Pep.

GOAL: Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal (Walcott, 5 mins)

Match underway

Arsenal kick off and this huge clash is underway.

Stones remained benched, De Bruyne leads the line for City

While Arsene Wenger has named a routine starting XI, Pep Guardiola continues to raise eyebrows with his team selections. John Stones remains on the bench and Kolarov, a full-back by trade, continues in central defence despite many critics. Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne is expected to play as the lone striker, something which he did away against Barcelona, with City subsequently losing 4-0.

Official line-ups announced

Manchester City XI: Bravo, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernando, Sane, Toure, Silva, Sterling, De Bruyne.

Subs: Caballero, Sagna, Stones, Nolito, Navas, Iheanacho, A Garcia.

Arsenal XI: Cech, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Xhaka, Walcott, Ozil, Iwobi, Alexis.

Subs: Ospina, Gibbs, Holding, Elneny, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lucas, Giroud.
