GOAL!! LIVERPOOL!!! Eric Bailly has scored the most spectacular own goal of the season to give Liverpool a lifeline at Old Trafford. Mane crosses it into the box from the left and Bailly tries to clear it in an unorthodox fashion but messes it up completely with the ball passing De Gea at the near post and into the back of the net.
Salah makes a promising dribble down the right but lets the ball creep out.
Ball falls to Milner just outside the box but the Englishman cuts across his shot and it goes wide.
Lallana comes on for Oxlade-Chamberlain in Liverpool's first substitution of the match.

Liverpool appeal for a handball on Valencia and it looked hopeless from a distance. But replays show the ball clearly struck the United defender's hand and he is incredibly lucky to get away with that!!
Mane shoots from long-range but it is partially blocked and rolls to De Gea.

HT: Manchester United 2 - 0 Liverpool!! Well the visitors are dominating every other stat bar the one that counts. Two goals from Marcus Rashford in 10 minutes has given Jose Mourinho's side a great advantage going into the break. Liverpool are struggling to find gaps in United's defence and are lacking that clinical edge up front.

CHANCE! Mata with a great chance to make it 3-0!! The Spaniard finds himself with loads of space in the box as a ball is pumped into him. He jumps up and attempts a bicycle kick but doesn't connect well with the ball and it goes wide of the right post.
Klopp is cutting an angry and frustrated figure on the touch-line, understandably so with poor defending costing Liverpool despite dominating possession.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is handed a yellow card for dragging McTominay to the ground.
United can afford to sit back and plug the gaps now with a 2-0 lead with Liverpool left frustrated and unable to work space for their attacking trio.
Rashford turns it on against the big teams.
Rashford is booked for a late challenge on Milner. Thankfully he pulled out or it could've been red.
GOAL!! RASHFORD AGAIN! It's comical for Liverpool. Route-one again from De Gea is worked through to a rushing Rashford who shows no hesitation when shooting. It takes an important deflection off the leg of Alexander-Arnold and goes over Karius and into the back of the net. 2-0!
CHANCE!! Van Dijk misses a golden chance to equalise for Liverpool! The defender gets low to meet the corner but misjudges the flight and the ball hits him on the shoulder and goes wide of the post.
Firmino wins Liverpool a corner.
Mane does well to close down United and win possession in the final third. The ball bounces to Milner on the right, who whips it in but it evades everyone in the box.
United have won all 16 matches in which they've scored first this season. That isn't a good omen for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.
Liverpool have a free-kick which falls to the feet of Firmino outside the box. The Brazilian curls it back in and it's just a bit too high for Mane.
GOAL!! RASHFORD!! United take the lead!! Straight from the goal-kick, De Gea fires it up the pitch and the ball is headed on by Lukaku perfectly into the path of Rashford. The young forward still has a lot to do but dazzles Alexander-Arnold in the box to create some space and curls it into the back of the net. Great finish!
It misses everyone and bounces out for a goal-kick. Wasteful.

United are starting to get a foot in the game but Lukaku can't hold up a long ball and Liverpool deal with the danger.
