According to a report, Manchester United want to extend Scott Mctominay's time with the Red Devils by a further 12 months by activating an additional clause in his contract.
The midfielder was in the summer transfer window linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but his five goals this season in 18 official appearances and his increased role in the team have turned his situation around.
Mctominay has earned the trust of Erik ten Hag and is a key player for the Dutch manager, according to The Sun, and Manchester United would be willing to activate this clause to keep him in Manchester for a further 12 months.
The 27-year-old has made a total of 233 appearances since making his debut for the Red Devils as a 20-year-old in the 2016-2017 season.
