According to the outlet, United are looking to secure a third Portuguese-speaking player, after bringing in Brazilian Fred and Portuguese international Diogo Dalot.
The next man in question is Anderson Talisca, a Brazilian midfielder who is owned by Benfica. Although he spent the last two seasons on loan at Besiktas, the Turkish side could not afford to meet his £18.4m option to buy, despite the 24-year-old bagging 37 goals in 78 games.
He is therefore back at Benfica, and the Portuguese side are apparently looking to cash in. Talisca is in-demand, with two unknown Chinese teams reportedly interested in securing his services.
Jose Mourinho is another who is keen on Talisca, and he has apparently entered a bidding war for the midfielder, however the two Chinese sides have matched his £35m bid.
The player is expected to meet with his representatives in the near future, after they travelled to China to negotiate.
