Man City submit formal bid for Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders

Manchester City have endured one of the worst years since Pep Guardiola arrived at the club. The Cityzens went from being clear favourites at the start of the season to win the Premier League to ending up fighting for a place in next season's Champions League.

In addition, the Sky Blues were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 32 against Real Madrid, and were eliminated by Tottenham in the EFL Cup, so the only chance of silverware this season remains in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.

The Mancunians want to get back to being the team that used to scare teams in Europe next season and will be looking to bring in reinforcements in the summer transfer window. 

After City were reported to be in talks with Florian Wirtz and Newcastle full-back Tino Livramento, the Sky Blues have now made a formal bid for Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

The 26-year-old Dutchman has been one of the best players in a poor season for the 'Rossoneri', making 52 official appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing four assists.
