Manchester City are working on new transfers for next season after lifting their first Champions League trophy. Guardiola's side want to continue bolstering their squad.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Sky Blues are interested in two Croatia internationals. Both RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol and Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic are on their wishlist.
The same media outlet reports that the Etihad Stadium outfit have reached a verbal agreement to sign them in the summer. Nevertheless, the board will have to negotiate with both clubs for their transfers.
Gvardiol had superb performances at the World Cup in Qatar and several clubs are interested in him. RB Leipzig are asking for 80 million euros to let him leave but City will try to lower their price tag.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are willing to sell Kovacic to rebuild their squad next campaign under new manager Pochettino. The Croatian could be sold for 40 million euros. As a result, City could sign two players from the Croatian national team in the next transfer window to fight for the treble again next term.
