The friendly match between Mali and Iran, previously scheduled to take place this Tuesday in the Turkish city of Antalya, has been cancelled after the African side returned two positive COVID-19 tests.
The Malian FA confirmed the cancellation in a statement that said the decision had been taken together with the Iranian Football Federation.
Both sides were coming into the game off the back of winning their recent games. Iran, third in their World Cup Qualifying group, beat Uzbekistan 2-1 and Mali swept Ghana aside 3-0.
