Maguire reflects honestly on Man United's underwhelming season

The Red Devils are nearing the end of what is shaping up to be their worst Premier League campaign to date, with Europa League success the only remaining consolation.
Currently 16th in the league standings, Manchester United have managed just 10 wins from 36 matches and have suffered a club-record 17 defeats under Ruben Amorim's management.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Maguire admitted the season's results have been far below the club's standards. "It's been incredibly tough in the Premier League and there's no hiding from that," he said. "The performances haven't been good enough for a club of this stature.
"Looking at the table, it's embarrassing — especially for us players. We must own up to that because, despite having two different managers and numerous chances to secure victories, we haven't delivered consistently.
"The last couple of months have been particularly challenging, juggling Europa League commitments and a constantly changing Premier League lineup. Injuries have also disrupted any chance of stability.
"To be honest, I can't recall the last time I completed a full 90 minutes in a league match. This shows the difficulties we've faced. But ultimately, it’s on us. A club like Manchester United should never be in a position where there is nothing left to fight for with just two months remaining in the season," he concluded.
