Madueke reflected on 'perfect' night after brace in Chelsea's victory over Legia

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke returned to action for the Blues after injury and scored twice in a 3-0 win over Legia Warsaw in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League quarter-final.
The England player came off the bench at half-time and played a key role in transforming Chelsea's performance after a poor first half.
“We’re really happy with how the game went and to get a 3-0 win away from home, it’s really pleasing. We knew this would be a really difficult tie to navigate, especially with the atmosphere generated from their fans," he said.
Chelsea struggled in the first 45 minutes, unable to convert their dominance into goals. However, Maresca's half-time adjustments led to a better second half.
“In the first half, we were a little bit slow with our build-up. In the second half, we did things a lot quicker and that showed with the goals we got," said Madueke.
On a personal note, Madueke expressed his delight at finding the net twice: “I’m really happy to score two goals. Having come back from injury, I wanted to find some rhythm and the goals have given me confidence for the next game.”
