Nowadays, Sergi Roberto is one of the most recognised players from the Barcelona team. By his own merits, the player has won the hearts of the team's fans.
He grew up in La Masia and took very little time to make the jump to the first team. Guardiola was behind his debut on November 10, 2010 and since then, the player has been a constant feature in the starting eleven.
In just nine years, Sergi Roberto has been a protagonist more than once. One of the goals he will never forget was the 6-1 comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
"I don't remember too much about what happened next. All my team-mates threw themselves at me. I just remember being underneath all of them. That day was crazy. I think I couldn't sleep," he said in the preview of the interview given to the program 'Al Cotxe'.
Adtionally, the Catalan player revealed that Madrid knocked on his door when he started in football and that he almost went to his team's eternal rival: "I was playing in the Nàstic, as a child. Madrid asked about me. After a few days, Barça also got in touch with Nàstic and with my father".
"All my family were Barcelona fans, except for my father, who was a Madrid fan. But now he has made the switch and is 100 percent a Barcelona fan" added Sergi Roberto abour Madrid's interest in his childhood.
Finally, the Reus spoke of the game against United on Tuesday. "We are doing very well in the Champions League, just need to finish it off. I'm very happy. In the end, what matters is the team and to get to the end of the season winning titles," he concluded.
