In the wake of an impressive Carabao Cup performance from 19 year old Brahim Diaz, Real Madrid are said be be monitoring the player's current situation at Manchester City, as it has recently emerged that the parties are yet to agree a contract extension for the starlet.
Diaz was the man of the moment in the cup tie against fellow Premier League side Fulham, as his brace (a goal in either half), was enough to see City through to the next round of the competition.
The Mallorcan native was privy to a rare start, as manager Pep Guardiola heavily rotated his side in the midst of what is a busy fixture schedule for the English Champions, and the youngster was keen to take advantage, which he duly did by being the decisive player on the night.
And so according to spanish outlet 'Marca', the current Champions League holders Real Madrid are keen to poach the player away from City if he does not extend his stay at the Etihad.
The Spanish youngster has made 14 senior appearances for City, scoring two goals. Although it must be noted that the player is yet to receive his chance in a more high profile match due to the competition within the City squad.
