Much has been said about Madrid's desire to sign Eduardo Camavinga. However, no one knew of the players' intentions because he hadn't said a word. Speaking to 'Ouest-France', the midfielder left a message between the lines.
"Honestly, I don't concentrate too much on that. It's good that big clubs like those mentioned are interested in me, but at the same time, 'm not too interested in that. Especially since I'm doing well at Rennes. We'll see what happens next. I'll let my parents and my agents take care of this", he commented.
The versatile midfielder also referred to the alleged pact he made with the ex-Rennes president, Olivier Letang, by which the player was committed to staying at the club if they qualified for the Champions League, as has happened. "If there had been an agreement like that mid-season, I would have necessarily known. My future will be decided at the end of the season," he said.
Camavinga also shared a funny story that has to do with his early growth in football and the continuous rumours about his departure to Real Madrid. "I don't read much about it, but I find out anyway. In fact, I can't help it. Sometimes I end up quickly on social media and see things that friends send me. Once in Amiens, during the League Cup, an opponent told me: 'We have to change our shirts before you sign for Real Madrid'. I didn't feel like joking, we had been knocked, but then I thought about it and laughed about it", he said.
