Madrid return to training with their eyes set on the ‘Clasico’

While Barcelona are recovering both mentally and physically from their Champions League semi-final elimination, with the wear and tear of an extra time match in Milan against Inter, Real Madrid have fine-tuned their aim ahead of next Sunday's ‘Clasico’ at Montjuic, which they are preparing for as if it were a final.
The Madrid dressing room knows that any chance of winning a major title this season depends on beating Barcelona at home. The word ‘final’ is the most repeated word among the players, according to ‘EFE’ sources in the squad, and the intensity of their work during the week.
After the afternoon session on the return to training, Los Blancos trained on Wednesday at their usual time, with Ancelotti satisfied with the commitment of his squad in a session that began with strength work in the Valdebebas gym and continued on the pitch with exercises with the ball.
Madrid's training video showed goals from Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Luka Modric, Vinicius, Endrick and a beautifully taken final goal from Dani Ceballos after a back-heeled assist from Arda Guler.
Ancelotti already knows that he will not be able to recover any of his six injured players for the ‘Clasico’. Los Blancos will be without Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, Ferland Mendy and Eduardo Camavinga, who are continuing their respective recovery plans on their own.
Brazilian striker Rodrygo is already working normally with the group, at the same pace as his teammates, after leaving behind the feverish process that prevented him from playing last Sunday against Celta Vigo. His presence in the starting line-up or that of Guler is the only doubt that Ancelotti has to clear up in the three training sessions that remain until the game.
