Madrid must be 'satisfied' despite City's draw, says Ancelotti

Madrid and Manchester City drew 3-3 in a match that could have gone either way. Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared on 'Movistar Liga de Campeones' and reviewed the match.

"It was a very even, competitive and hard-fought match. We started very badly, but then the team came back and as long as we kept the pressing high, we did well. We could have scored the 3-1 with Bellingham and Vinicius.... and when we lowered the intensity, they kept possession," the Italian boss told reporters.

"Then we tried to take advantage of the transitions and we came close to coming back, again. Let's keep the confidence. The idea was to leave with a slender lead, but it was a really even game. We have to keep this attitude for the second leg," he added.

On the play that earned Tchouameni a yellow card: "It was a foul, what we didn't expect was for them to score from there. We reacted, we came back and for 60 minutes we did very well".

On Lunin: "He played very well with his feet, helping with playing the ball out from the back. The two further goals were into the top corner, impossible. I don't think the 0-1 scoreline affected him".

"You can't concede a shot from the edge of the box to a team like City. But they put them into the top corner. Overall, defensively we did well, at least while the energy lasted," he said.
