Madrid back to square one - training to resume 7th July

The defeat to Betis has rounded off a overwhelmingly disappointing season for Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane. Very few positives can be taken from a squad lacking motivation.

Only Madrid's internationals will continue training in Valdebebas over the next few days, ahead of the training camps with their respective national teams.

They club has little more than a month and a half to wipe the slate clean and start planning a squad revamp in order to put this disastrous season behind them.

On 7th July the players will undergo the mandatory medical examinations ahead of preseason, before travelling to Montreal on the 9th, where most of their training will take place.
