Liverpool have recently appointed sporting director Jorg Schmadtke, and he and Jurgen Klopp are looking for some impact signings this summer. The priority is to reinforce the midfield, which caused them some problems this past season.
According to 'Daily Mail', Klopp and co have three main options: Alexis Mac Allister (Brighton) , Khephren Thuram (Nice) and Manu Kone (Gladbach). Mac Allister is essentially a done deal at this point for the Reds, after his World Cup win in December and exceptional season with Brighton.
But he's not the only one. Kone, who is also on Man United's target list, is strong on the ball and could add some power to the Liverpool midfield. Scout Jacek Kulig described him as a 'one-man army in midfield' which could be what the Reds need.
Thuram, whose brother plays alongside Kone at Gladbach, has always been Liverpool's back-up for Bellingham, but he's had an excellent season with Nice in his own right. Two goals and eight assists this year, as well as his debut with the French National side understandably make him a worthy target for the scouse team.
