Luuk de Jong to leave in January after Koeman departure

Luuk de Jong signed from Sevilla on transfer deadline day. Since then, he has played nine matches for Barcelona and has scored just one goal. That is not good enough for the club.
De Jong only joined Barcelona because he was specifically requested by Ronald Koeman. The coach was sacked this Wednesday and now the footballer could also move.
According to 'Sport', Barca do not have place for De Jong. Now Koeman is out, the club are thinking of letting him go as soon as the January transfer window opens.
De Jong does not feature in Barcelona's long term project and Barca are set to tell him that. The footballer could easily move to a Turkish club.
If Barcelona are rushing to sell him, it is because they are trying to reduce their wage bill. That will free up a first team spot for a new player to join the first team.
Besiktas knocked on De Jong's door last summer when he was still at Sevilla so they could try again. Bayern Munich and Man City, two top clubs, are also reportedly on the list of teams interested in the Dutchman.
