Partnership and collaboration help goals to thrive. Luton in March 2020 decided to collaborate with Gamstop to help in achieving its scheme which is, to help addicted gamblers get help by excluding themselves from gambling activities.

Gamstop is a scheme operated by a non-profit organization; National Online Self-Exclusion Scheme Limited.

This is the latest step by Luton to reiterate its commitment to restrict access to non Gamstop sports betting sites in the United Kingdom and  promote healthy and safe gamblin. The club took part in the responsible gambling week which was held in Malta, November 2019.

Luton Town FC is also known as the Hatters. This is a football club that dates as far back as 1885. This club was established in England, in a town called Luton, Bedfordshire, hence, the name. In 1988, the club had one of its most remembered moments when it won the Football League by defeating Arsenal. This club has faced several financial crises but continues to live on as a result of the many promotions that it wins often and a few numbers of successes that it has recorded. Like many other clubs, this club is supported widely and has a big social media fanbase.

Gamstop is a program designed to help any gambler that wants to break free from the grip of gambling. Persons who register for this program can decide to stay away from chosen gambling sites for a while. The period of this stay away can be as little as 6 months, a year, or even as much as 5 years. After the period selected has passed, they can choose to either roll over the plan to about 7 years by choosing not to contact Gamstop or they can opt-out. Anybody who contacts Gamstop either through the website or the helplines has an option to be referred to a specialist advisor if they and more help with their gambling addiction. The Gamstop scheme is not only practical and emotional, but it also includes debt supports.

Starting 31st March 2020, gambling sites in Britain following the directives of the UK Gambling Commission, have been seen registering their businesses with Gamstop. They risk losing their gaming license if they do not do this. This ensures that gambling operators support Responsible gambling. This allows Gamstop to reach a large crowd of gamblers as they now have access to gambling operations in the UK. Several organizations partnered with NOSES on this one apart from the government of the UK. These collaborators include Boro, Data Shed, Gambam, and Luton Town FC. Luton Town was one of the foremost partners that this scheme currently has.

According to SportsMole, Luton Town FC and Gamstop partnership have helped spread the gospel of responsible gambling to a large audience. Through this partnership, Gamstop can reach its target audience that is also football fans with free and independent services that help them become better gamblers and there are a lot of them in that category. The partnership of Luton and Gamstop involves Luton using its selected Matchday, Website, Social Channels, and other media available to them to create awareness of Gamstop. Fiona Palmer, the CEO of Gamstop, says "Working with Luton will be a huge benefit in helping us to reach the consumers who most need to be aware of the Gamstop self-exclusion tool.

We have been working hard for the last two years to ensure that Gamstop becomes a trusted, secure, and independent service that helps anyone who has an issue with their gambling to exclude themselves from online sites. This partnership with Luton will educate more people about Gamstop's important work and help to provide greater protection to consumers." The partnership with Luton has, like expected, helped bring Gamstop to the limelight as the tool has over 120,000 registered gamblers.

Gambling as a leisure activity can be and is enjoyed by many adults. However, it can become a harmful sport when it is addictive and the player is no longer in control. It can cause financial damages and emotional difficulties. It can also hurt relationships both in one' s circle of influence and one's workplace. One must be aware enough to tell the difference between fun and adduction so that one doesn't cross that line and become an ugly mess. However, if this should occur, thanks to various organizations out there helping addictive gamblers, like Gamstop, one can get help.
