The Belgium international wanted to show solidarity for the movement, whereby in 1968 Tommie Smith and John Carlos raised gloved fists during an Olympic medal ceremony in Mexico City.
Posting the picture on Instagram after Belgium's 1-1 draw with Holland on Tuesday, he announced that "For every fist raised and photo shared, Puma will donate $1 to the American Civil Liberties Union. It’s time to drive social change."
The post read: "50 years ago today, Olympian Tommie Smith raised his fist for equal rights.
"Today, I am standing with him, still fighting for universal equality. Join me! Raise your fist and post it."
Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli have also posted in solidarity with the movement.
