Lukaku hoping for success in third spell at Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku is a step away from committing to Chelsea in what will be one of the most important signings of the summer in England. The Belgian will once again return to Stamford Bridge, where he has already had two unlucky spells.
At the start of the 2011-12 season, the London club shelled out 15 million euros to sign the striker, who at the time had shone at Anderlecht and was already being tipped as the ideal replacement for Didier Drogba at the English club.
In Belgium, Lukaku had scored 40 goals in 97 appearances and had done so as a youngster, having joined the Blues at just 18 years of age and already with a wealth of experience behind him.
His first spell at Chelsea was not a good one. He did not count for Villas-Boas, the mediatic coach who left through the back door, and neither did he count too much for Di Matteo, with whom the English won the Champions League.
"I will never forgive him for everything he did to me," Lukaku recently recalled of the Portuguese, who would have his revenge in 2013-14 after spending the season on loan at West Brom and scoring 17 goals in 38 games.
Under Mourinho, he didn't work out either. Just three games and only 40 minutes of play before leaving just after the start of the season to Everton, where he began his Premier League legend. Mou at least used him somewhat in pre-season and even played against Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup.
After a few minutes in the European Super Cup against Bayern, Lukaku would not play any more as a Blue and would start the most stable stage of his career at Everton, where he would play four seasons and would sign some scandalous records. Then came Manchester United, again with Mourinho, and Inter, where Conte finally got the best out of him and has turned him into the star that will now return to London to vindicate himself.
