Luiz Felipe leaves Lazio after 5 years to join Real Betis

Luiz Felipe played his last game as a Lazio player on Saturday 21st May, leaving the club after five seasons and 144 official matches. 

The 25-year-old Brazilian centre-back will, according to press reports, leave for Betis, with whom he has already agreed a deal and with whom he will begin a new adventure in La Liga, a Spanish competition he is still unfamiliar with. 

Rome's Stadio Olimpico bid farewell to its player with chants and applause, in the last match of the 2021-22 Serie A season, a match that ended in a 3-3 draw between Lazio and Hellas Verona. 

Luiz Felipe leaves Lazio after a season in which he has achieved his best records, with a total of 40 official games played, 31 of them in Serie A, seven in the Europa League and two more in the Coppa Italia. 

According to the newspaper 'Sport', the Brazilian reached an agreement with the Andalusian club several weeks ago to join as a free agent as of 30th June.
