Bad news for Atletico Madrid. Luis Suarez, who has muscle problems "in his left leg", will miss at least the next three games.
"Luis Suarez has got a muscle injury in his left leg. Our player, after suffering an injury problem this Wednesday in training, has had tests carried by the club who confirmed the injury to the Uruguayan international," Atletico said in a statement.
The Uruguayan striker will be back when his injury allows him to, but 'Marca' says that he will be out for three weeks. He is a key player for Simeone. As well as the clash against Betis, which he was suspended for, he will sit out the games against Eibar, Huesca and Athletic Bilbao.
The news comes at the worst moment for Atletico Madrid. Their La Liga lead is under threat after losing to Sevilla and Barcelona and Real Madrid and stepping on their heels. Barca and Madrid both face each other this weekend.
There was some good news for Simeone though: Joao Felix and Yannick Carrasco have returned to the group and they are set to play against Betis.
