Barcelona have no margin for error after slipping up twice on the road already in La Liga. They now have to keep winning games if they are to defend their league title this season. Ernesto Valverde's men need to get rid of any doubts and beat Granada who, curiously, have the same number of points as the Catalan giants (seven).
However, Valverde has got an ace up his sleeve which invites to Barca optimism. As well as getting back Leo Messi, Luis Suarez's past record at Los Carmenes is a great sign for Barca.
The Uruguayan striker has scored five times in his last three visits, becoming the biggest threat to Granada getting something off Barcelona. If they got something in this game, it really would be a fabulous start to the season for the Andalusian outfit.
In the 2014-15 campaign, Luis Suarez took advantage of a great assist from Ivan Rakitic to score. The following season (2015/16), the Uruguayan was the main man in a victory which secured Barca the league title as he scored a hat-trick. Finally, in the 2016-17 season, Suarez opened the scoring when Barca thrashed their opponents. Granada ended getting relegated that year.
