Luis Suarez calls Liverpool's Darwin Nunez 'one of the best No 9s in the world'

Luis Suarez, who was considered the best striker in the world during his prime at Barcelona, had some kind words for his national team-mate Darwin Nunez. 

The Gremio player praised the former Benfica No.9 after Uruguay's win over Bolivia, in which the Reds player scored the opening goal and rounded off the victory before being replaced by the veteran striker.

"I have one of the best No 9s in the world ahead of me,' he said. 'We have to support him and enjoy him. Today I am in another role [than before] and I am happy to be here helping the group," said Luis Suarez.

It should be recalled that the former 'Cules' player was called up again by the Uruguayan national team for these South American World Cup qualifiers, as he had not played for the 'Celeste' since they were eliminated from the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
